An Act ofQuiet Revolution
t implies a transformation beyond superficial
thought—one that alters perspective, heart, and
behavior. While most transformations begin in the
mind, long-term travel invites something deeper: a
change in being. A quiet revolution.
Your home country will never look the same after
extended time abroad. While others live lives of stress
and chaos, you begin living one of alignment, fulfillment,
and quiet freedom.
I say that with confidence—because it happened to me.
A Personal Rebellion
After long-term travels through Egypt, Jordan, and
Europe, I returned to Canada with new eyes. I realized
that chasing possessions and traditional success created
more stress than satisfaction. I no longer saw “more” as
better. I had lived in cultures that valued presence over
performance, connection over accumulation. That shift
didn’t just change how I saw the world—it changed how
I moved through it.
The Greeks have a word, metanoia, which means
“a change of mind.”
